Good stuff.
SHARING MAKES THE SCA WORK
Volunteering is vitally important to providing a sense of belonging to one’s community, it is a practical way to build and reinforce friendships by including everyone in helping create The Dream.
SHARING IS A GIFT TO ONESELF
If you’ve never participated, you may want to reconsider. Many hands make volunteering fun!
Plus, studies have indicated that volunteering is great for your mental health. It has been shown to decrease stress levels, depression, anxiety and boost your overall health and satisfaction with life. When you help out or share your time and talents other people, it activates the reward center in your brain and releases serotonin, dopamine and endorphins.

SERVICE IS A FAMILY ACTIVITY
You can get your entire family involved in volunteering. It is great to role model to children that this is a great way to boost your mental health. It’s free. It’s an activity that everyone can do. It doesn’t require a lot of skill or time.

SERVICE CAN BE QUICK AND EASY
Service doesn’t always have to be something major - but you are more than welcome to take charge of coordinating an aspect of the event - you can do simple gestures. 15 minutes of all-hands-on-deck can move mountains!
Share your time & talents
